Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Oahu is seeking a reliable Custodian to clean and maintain a commercial location. The role involves cleaning common areas, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 32 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $18.25. Prior janitorial experience is preferred but training is available, and the company offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prescreen check completion is required.

Responsibilities

• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas throughout the facility.

• Empty trash and replace liners; manage recycling.
• Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Operate leaf blower, pressure washer, and buffer-scrubber.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by HB.M. supervisor.

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning common areas, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Willingness to work all weather conditions
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ensure cleanliness in common areas throughout the facility.
• Execute a thorough cleaning routine that includes: Sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing, and vacuuming.
• Emptying trash and recycling into designated bins, including replacing trash bag liners.
• Wiping down surfaces and cleaning up spills
• Pushing trash bins Managing grounds maintenance, including the pool area, laundry, gym, sauna, office, lobby, restrooms, and full bathrooms with showers.
• Restocking supplies as needed
• Operating a leaf blower machine and pressure wash machine.
• Utilizing a buffer-scrubber machine in high-traffic areas.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by your H.B.M. supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications

• Must successfully complete the HBM prescreen check
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous experience in custodial work, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, but training is available.
• Strong public relations and communication skills are essential.
• Applicants should be prepared to perform basic manual labor, including:
• Frequently lifting, pushing, pressing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs)
• Reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, and walking up and down stairways.
• Use of a ladder
• Cleaning common areas
