Job summary

Eden Vista Greendale is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean and safe living spaces for residents in Greendale, WI. This role supports a home-like environment and collaborates with a compassionate care team.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, common areas, and following infection control practices. Prior experience in housekeeping or assisted living is required and shifts run Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience in assisted living is preferred.
• Related experience in healthcare settings is a plus.
• Ability to read and write at a level suitable for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas.
• Safely mix and use cleaning solutions and store them securely.
• Label and remove infectious waste bags and containers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Follow the company code of conduct and applicable laws and standards.

Position: Housekeeping

• Mondays to Fridays
• 7 am to 3:30 pm but should be flexible for shift changes
• $17-$17.50/hour
• Prior experience in housekeeping and/or assisted living facility experience is required

Essential Functions:

• Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility.
• Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area.
• Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Related experience preferred
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques.
• Ability to be patient and polite.
