Job Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and a safe, comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors at [LOCATION]. This person will be part of our dedicated team committed to upholding high standards for resident living and facility presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, dining and lounge areas, offices, and other facility spaces on a regular schedule.
  • Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, polish surfaces, clean windows, walls, and furniture; remove trash and empty wastebaskets.
  • Perform scheduled deep‑cleaning tasks (e.g. carpet shampooing, floor stripping/buffing, disinfecting high‑touch surfaces) as required.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment; report needed repairs or supply shortages; store cleaning chemicals properly and follow safety protocols (e.g. MSDS/OSHA, infection control).
  • Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain safe, well‑kept, and comfortable; attend to resident requests for housekeeping services in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing and support staff to coordinate cleaning tasks without disruption to resident care.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent).
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience – preferably in a healthcare, residential care, or long‑term care facility.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety, procedure compliance, and communication with staff/residents.
  • Physical stamina: able to lift, bend, stoop, walk, stand for extended periods; capable of moving furniture/equipment; handle cleaning supplies and waste.
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team; respectful of resident dignity, privacy, and comfort.
