Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and maintain clean floors in common areas, resident rooms and laundry spaces.
• Dust, wipe surfaces and windows; clean bathrooms, sinks and mirrors.
• Change linens and mattresses as assigned; dispose of trash and waste.
• Clean and disinfect rooms, beds, wheelchairs and equipment.
• Move furniture to access hard-to-reach areas and assist with daily cleaning tasks.
• Clean lighting fixtures and high surfaces using ladders when necessary.
• Assist with snow removal and sidewalk clearing in inclement weather when needed.
• Replenish supplies and maintain orderly supply rooms.

Williamsville Suburban, a long term skilled nursing facility located in Erie County, New York is looking to hire full time Housekeepers. This position maintains cleanliness, presentation and sanitary conditions of common rooms, resident rooms, and resident laundry as assigned on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Receives instructions as to area and specific work assignments, assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for transporting to the designated area. Follow work flow of assigned area.
• Sweeps, mops and wet washes floors.
• Washes walls and trims, ceilings and inside windows by hand; using water, cleaning solutions, sponge and cloths.
• Gathers and disposes of trash; washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers.
• Clean and change mattresses.
• Wash doors and door frames.
• Wash elevator doors, walls and trim.
• Clean air outlet and return grilles.
• Vacuum rugs and spot clean where necessary.
• Dust desks, tables, chairs, shelves, cabinets, sills, ledges, etc.
• Clean toilets, urinals and mirrors, dust and wax handrails and other woodwork. Wash sinks and other plumbing fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect beds, wheelchairs, commodes, etc.
• Clean louver drapes.
• Sweep, mop and wax as necessary; polishes floors using buffing machine.
• Move furniture to clean rooms and areas.
• Clean lighting fixtures, tops of windows, door frames and other high places using a ladder when necessary.
• In case of inclement weather, the housekeeper is responsible for the shoveling of snow, clearing sidewalks to make entering more accessible for the next shift.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Perform all related work as assigned.

Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills and abilitieswhich enable the performance of theduties listed above.
