Job summary

AvantStay in Laguna Beach is seeking an organized and detail‑oriented Housekeeper to manage cleaning of our hotel units, following AvantStay standards and checklists to exceed guest expectations.

You’ll handle linens, trash, sanitizing bins, and report issues while complying with safety regulations; weekend availability and offsite laundry for linens are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible & full-time schedule including weekends.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete cleans in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout hotel rooms per AvantStay standards.
• Remove trash, recycling and compost from rooms.
• Sanitize and replace liners in bins.
• Replace linens; laundry service is offsite so linens are provided.
• Report issues, damages, or safety concerns.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Check stocking levels of consumables and cleaning supplies.
• Create daily job lists and complete inspection forms.
• Other duties as necessary.

What we are looking for…

An organized and detail-oriented Housekeeper to manage and carry out the cleaning processes and procedures for our hotel in Laguna Beach. This person will be responsible for cleaning and servicing our units in a timely manner according to AvantStay guidelines and standards, service sequence, and inspection checklists to exceed guest expectations. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing unparalleled experiences and world class customer service to guests.

What you’ll do…

• Maintain general cleanliness throughout our hotel rooms including vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping according to AvantStay standards and guidelines.

• Remove trash, recycling and compost from receptacles throughout the rooms

• Clean, sanitize, and replace liners in trash and recycling bins.

• Replace linens found in the rooms, such as bedding, sheets, and towels (laundry service is done offsite, so you will have clean linens available)

• Report any issues in our rooms, including damages and/or any security issues.

• Comply with health and safety regulations and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.

• Check and report on stocking levels of all consumables and cleaning supplies.

• Create and complete daily job lists and complete all paperwork/ inspection forms.

• Other duties as necessary.
