Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for our Fox Run Village in Novi, MI. Join a team responsible for cleaning resident homes and community spaces within our gated retirement community.

You will operate carpet and hard floor care equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and interact professionally with residents, families, and staff. Flexible full-time schedules include weekdays with alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting helpful.
• Ability to safely operate carpet and hard floor care equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident homes and community spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness using specialized equipment.
• Clean bathrooms, lobbies, and classrooms.
• Replace trash can liners and manage waste disposal.
• Maintain carpeted surfaces and perform interim cleaning.

We Are Looking To Add 2 Team Members To Our Talented Team On a Full Time Basis! We Are Looking To Fill The Following Schedules

• 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday with an every other weekend rotation
• 7am to 3:30pm Tuesday through Saturday

Join our team as a Housekeeper for our gated retirement community. All of our clients are located within our community, so no travel is involved!

How You Will Make An Impact

• Cleaning resident’s homes in Independent Living or Resident Rooms in Nursing Home
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Community through the use of specialized equipment.
• Cleaning public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures
• Cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents.
• Cleaning classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs
• Assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners
• Maintaining carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What You Will Need

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles
• Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
