Weatherly Inn in Tacoma, WA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean and sanitary resident rooms, common areas, and offices in line with Weatherly Inn’s standards. The role reports to Environmental Supervisor and Administrator and requires compliance with safety policies.

We offer a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, and PTO for full-time staff. Schedule is 6:15 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year housekeeping experience preferred.
• Dementia training required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Position Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary resident rooms, common areas, and offices while adhering to Weatherly Inn’s high standards of safety and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, offices, and common areas according to established policies

• Maintain safe and organized work environment

• Dispose of trash and manage cleaning supplies

• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions promptly

• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff

• Follow Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• 1 year housekeeping experience preferred

• Dementia training required within 90 days of hire

• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform repetitive tasks

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 lbs; push 250 lb carts or residents as needed

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform repetitive arm/hand motions
