Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper to support our patient and facility cleanliness. This part-time role involves cleaning patient rooms, offices and public areas, maintaining supply areas, and assisting the supervisor. We offer comprehensive benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Keep supply closets clean and orderly.
• Store cleaning supplies and equipment safely away from patients.

• Report situations affecting patient or staff health and safety.
• Help maintain a safe, risk-preventive environment.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety policies.

The Housekeeper is responsible for:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices and public areas.
• Assures that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
• Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patient’s access when in use.
• Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in other duties assigned.
• Assist other departmental staff, as requested.
• Report any situations that may affect the health and wellbeing of patients or employees.
• Assist in assuring a safe and risk preventive environment.
• Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations and Safety/Risk Management plans, policies and procedures.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for

• Education & Licensure: Preferably one (1) year experience in housekeeping field.
• Experience: Previous experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Additional Skill Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. May be required to work overtime and/or flexible hours.

Compensation
