Job summary

Bel Air at Teravista in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a PRN basis. The role involves scheduled housekeeping tasks in skilled nursing areas, including cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions; may mop floors.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of trash properly.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Reviews CanTex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.


• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.


• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.


• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.


• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.


• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.


• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.


• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.


• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
