Job summary

Baybrooke Village Care and Rehab Center in McKinney, TX is seeking a Housekeeper (PRN) to join our care-focused facility. You will perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff, including rooms, living areas, floors, and common spaces.

Ideal candidates have prior housekeeping experience and familiarity with floor-care equipment, plus strong reliability and communication skills to support our team and residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with floor-care equipment preferred.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with staff, residents, families and public.
• Regular, predictable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping in assigned areas including resident rooms and common spaces.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and floor care as scheduled.
• Strip, seal, wax or buff floors as needed.
• Clean windows and wash and dry in accordance with schedule.
• Manage trash and replace liners; handle linens per routine.
• Report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

Housekeeping

• Dust and clean assigned areas included resident rooms, living areas, furniture, fixtures, vents, lavatories, and basins as scheduled.

• Dust-mop, Wet-mop, or spot-mop floors by using appropriate proportioned concentrated cleaning chemicals as scheduled.

• Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors, as necessary.

• Vacuum, extract and/or shampoo carpets, as necessary.

• Wash and dry windows by using appropriate proportioned concentrated cleaning chemicals as scheduled.

• Empty trash containers, replace liners and dispose of trash in proper receptacles.

• Strip and dispose of spoiled linens in appropriate receptacles for washing.

• Replace linens and make residents’ beds as scheduled.

• Report repair needs to supervisor and/or maintenance department as appropriate.

Safety Precautions

• Knowledge and understanding on how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.

• Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community’s safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping operations preferred.

• Previous experience with floor-care equipment preferred.

• Able to tactfully communicate with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.

• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
