Job summary

You will play a key role in maintaining clean and safe environments for residents in a long-term care setting. As a Housekeeper at The Villages on MacArthur, you will support a team recognized for achievements and contribute to our mission of superior care

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping operations preferred.
• Previous experience with floor-care equipment preferred.
• Able to tactfully communicate with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean assigned areas including resident rooms, living areas, furniture, fixtures, vents, lavatories, and basins as scheduled.
• Dust-mop, Wet-mop, or spot-momp floors using appropriate chemicals as scheduled.
• Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors as necessary.
• Vacuum, extract and/or shampoo carpets as necessary.
• Wash and dry windows using appropriate chemicals as scheduled.
• Empty trash containers, replace liners and dispose of trash correctly.
• Strip and dispose of spoiled linens for washing.
• Replace linens and make residents’ beds as scheduled.
• Report repair needs to supervisor and/or maintenance department as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities

Housekeeping

Safety Precautions

• Knowledge and understanding on how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.

• Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community’s safety policies and procedures.
