Montevista Rehab and Skilled Care in Lawton, OK is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary and welcoming environment across the facility. The role involves routine and specialized cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and offices in line with infection control standards and facility policies.

The Housekeeper contributes to resident health, safety and comfort by ensuring a neat, sanitary space and timely response to cleaning needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry, housekeeping, or environmental services preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Clean high-touch surfaces and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste per procedures.
• Replenish housekeeping and restroom supplies as needed.
• Safely operate equipment and use cleaning chemicals and PPE.
• Follow infection prevention and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Prepare rooms for new admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Respond to spills and maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain organized housekeeping carts, closets, and supply areas.
• Respect resident privacy and belongings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other assigned areas.

• Follow infection prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Prepare resident rooms for new admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Respond promptly to spills, environmental hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized housekeeping carts, closets, equipment, and supply areas.
• Respect resident privacy, dignity, belongings, and personal space while performing assigned duties.
• Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete assigned cleaning schedules, checklists, and other required documentation.
• Perform deep cleaning and other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Safety Precautions

• Knowledge and understanding on how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.
• Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community’s safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in laundry operations preferred.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
