About the Role – Housekeeper

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and fellow team members. This position is responsible for cleaning, organizing, and maintaining assigned areas within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.

  • Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining spaces, and hallways.

  • Change bed linens, towels, and other textiles as needed.

  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

  • Ensure a clutter-free and sanitary environment for residents and guests.

  • Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic living space.

  • Assist in deep cleaning tasks, including shampooing carpets, washing windows, and defrosting refrigerators.

  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, notifying management when additional supplies are needed.

  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate team members.

  • Assist in laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and personal clothing.

  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring compliance with health and sanitation standards.

  • Provide a warm, friendly, and respectful experience for residents, visitors, and fellow team members.

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (3-6 months preferred).

  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physically able to perform housekeeping tasks (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).

  • Willingness to comply with health and safety requirements, including an annual flu vaccine (medical/religious exemptions permitted).
