Make a Difference in the Place Where Healing Happens

Clean spaces do more than look good. They create safety, comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability for children, families, and the people who care for them.

As a Housekeeper, you’ll play an important behind-the-scenes role in creating an environment where children and families can feel safe and supported. Your work helps ensure our inpatient and residential facilities are clean, sanitary, welcoming, and ready every day for the people who depend on us.

If you take pride in your work, notice the details others might miss, and want your work to have a meaningful purpose, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Why This Role Matters

You won’t simply be cleaning rooms.

You’ll be helping create an environment where:

  • Children and families feel respected and cared for.
  • Staff have a safe, clean environment in which to do their best work.
  • Families arriving at our facilities experience a welcoming, well-maintained space.
  • Health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards are consistently met.
  • The small details that make a facility feel comfortable and cared for don’t get overlooked.
What You’ll Do

As part of our team, you will:

  • Keep inpatient and residential facilities clean, sanitary, orderly, and compliant with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
  • Make sure the facility is tour ready and presents a welcoming, professional environment.
  • Monitor supplies and maintain an adequate inventory of clean linens.
  • Distribute clean linens as needed throughout the facility.
  • Complete environmental compliance reports and communicate findings to the Facility Safety Officer.
  • Identify cleanliness, safety, or environmental concerns and help address them proactively.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, children and families, and community partners while maintaining a respectful and professional presence.
  • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating accountability, integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties consistent with your qualifications and the needs of the program.
What We’re Looking For

Education: High school diploma from an accredited high school or GED.

Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

Experience: One to three months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, intermediate computer skills, including typing/keyboarding and working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook email.

Preferred Experience: One to three years of experience working in a facility that provides services to children and families.

You may be a great fit if you:
  • Take genuine pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and welcoming.
  • Notice details and follow through without needing to be asked.
  • Understand that cleanliness can directly affect how people feel and experience a space.
  • Can work independently while also being a dependable member of a team.
  • Treat children, families, coworkers, and community partners with respect.
  • Approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Are dependable, accountable, and willing to continuously improve.
  • Want to know that the work you do each day contributes to something bigger than yourself.
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the ability to perform the physical activities necessary to maintain a clean and safe facility. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • The role regularly requires standing, walking, talking or hearing, and using the senses of taste or smell. Employees frequently use their hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with their hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Sitting is occasionally required.
  • The employee must be able to:
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position works in inpatient and residential environments serving children and families. Employees should be comfortable working in an active facility where priorities may change and where maintaining cleanliness, safety, professionalism, and compassion is essential.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

A clean room can provide comfort. A well-maintained facility can provide safety. A welcoming environment can help someone feel that they matter. That’s the difference your work can make here.
