Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain a clean and healthy patient care environment in a healthcare facility. You will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, disinfect rooms, and assist with linen handling while following infection control measures.

Responsibilities include moving furniture, preparing rooms for meetings, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is properly stored after each shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.
• CPR certification required
• De-escalation and restraint certification required
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies following approved processes.
• Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens and utensils, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all infection control measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Responsible for stocking of supplies as needed
• Follow all infection control measures.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
