Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping, including cleaning and polishing furniture, fixtures, and heating/cooling units.
• Sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, recreational areas, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, wax, and disinfect floors following safety procedures and using caution signs.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and disinfect carpets as needed.
• Clean walls, ceilings, mirrors, and other assigned areas.
• Remove and dispose of waste properly while maintaining infection control standards.
• Follow fire safety, hand hygiene, chemical handling, and waste disposal procedures.
• Properly mix and use cleaning chemicals according to SDS requirements.
• Report accidents, unsafe conditions, equipment problems, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
• Keep utility closets and janitorial areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Communicate resident concerns, supply needs, and other issues to the appropriate supervisor.
