Job summary

Westchester Marriott, a HEI Hotels and Resorts property in Tarrytown, NY, is hiring a housekeeping associate to clean and stock guest rooms to HEI’s high standards. You will strip beds, change linens, dust surfaces, vacuum, and replenish amenities while adhering to safety and cleaning procedures.

Shifts include two overnights 11:00pm–7:30am and three AM shifts 7:30am–4:00pm. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 lbs, work in confined spaces, and communicate effectively with team members and

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces and clean rooms according to standards.
• Must be willing to pitch in and help co-workers with duties as part of a team.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and stock guest rooms to HEI Hotels and Resorts’ high standards of cleanliness.
• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces.
• Dust furniture, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
• Vacuum and empty trash; replenish amenities, linens and supplies.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve and restock heavy carts; visually inspect room for cleanliness.

NoOverviewClean and stock guest rooms to ensure HEI Hotels and Resorts’ high standards of cleanliness.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
