Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a hospitality professional to join our housekeeping team at the Westchester Marriott. This role involves cleaning guest rooms and common areas, restocking supplies, and maintaining high cleanliness standards across the property.

Two overnight shifts (11:00pm–7:30am) and three AM shifts (7:30am–4:00pm) are required. Candidates should be team oriented, able to handle cleaning chemicals, and capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head, and work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to pitch in and help coworkers as a team.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathroom, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floors using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Strip beds and change linens; lift bedspreads up to 50 lbs.
• Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, windowsills and shelves.
• Push and pull vacuum and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve and restock rooms as needed.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness and sign completion.
• Adhere to attendance and scheduling requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Salary Range: $23.94 - $26.60 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

This position requires two (2) overnight shifts: 11:00pm - 7:30am; and three (3) AM shifts: 7:30am - 4:00pm.
