Purpose of your job description: The purpose of a Housekeeping Aide is to perform daily laundry and linen cleaning to maintain a hygienic, safe, and well-kept facility for the residents and co-workers.
Delegation of authority: You have the authority to perform any assigned task and report all unsafe conditions to the Director of Environmental Services.

Each room is treated as 2 separate rooms. Initial inspection and notation of maintenance issues. Collect trash, disinfect can in and out, reline can. Dust high areas, walls, and lampshades. Refill paper towel and soap dispensers in sink areas and refill hand sanitizer in every room. Dust/wipe down all horizontal surfaces, including window sills and radiators. Disinfect high contact items (remote controls, light switches, lamps, call bells). Efficiently clean bathrooms using the "7 Step Process": Collect trash, refill dispensers, sweep/dry mop floor, clean walls, disinfect toilet exterior, scrub bowl, damp mop floor. Sweep/dry-mop floors, ensuring to get under radiators, furniture, and beds. Wet-mop floors, place wet floor sign at entrance. Inspect room for quality control. Refill paper towel and soap dispensers in Nursing sink area for your "base" unit. Restock housekeeping closet at the end of the day.
