A leading healthcare facility is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to ensure a hygienic and well-kept environment for residents and staff. The role involves various cleaning tasks and requires reliability, customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates will be trained and are expected to maintain a professional appearance while adhering to safety and hygienic protocols.
Purpose of Your Job Description: The purpose of a Housekeeping Aide is to perform daily laundry and linen cleaning to maintain a hygienic, safe, and well-kept facility for residents and co-workers.
Delegation of Authority: You have the authority to perform any assigned task and report all unsafe conditions to the Director of Environmental Services.
Job Functions: Responsibilities include inspecting rooms, collecting trash, disinfecting, dusting, refilling dispensers, cleaning bathrooms using the "7 Step Process," and restocking supplies. Each room is treated as two separate rooms for cleaning purposes. Quality control inspection is required after cleaning.
Working Conditions: The role involves sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently, frequent interruptions, interaction with patients, staff, and visitors, exposure to infectious waste, and supporting patient safety. Attendance at training programs and adherence to communication protocols are essential.
Specific Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak English clearly, make independent decisions, deal tactfully with individuals, and maintain a professional appearance. Reliability, punctuality, and confidentiality are mandatory.
Physical Requirements: Ability to move throughout the day, cope with stress, see and hear adequately, work independently, and assist in patient evacuation. Good health and emotional stability are required.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, excellent customer service skills, and experience in medical or hospitality fields are preferred but training will be provided.
