Responsibilities

Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential treatment services within a secure setting. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 7-17 experiencing emotional, psychiatric, and educational difficulties. We also offer specialty programs for youth with more serious challenges. Our facility is fully accredited and licensed by relevant authorities, including The Joint Commission, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, and the Virginia Department of Education. We are TRICARE-approved and certified.

Work Schedule (Part-Time):

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Position Scope:

Maintains the facility in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Essential Functions:

• Polices grounds to remove trash and debris from landscape, parking lots, and walkways.
• Collects and disposes of trash twice daily.
• Sweeps, mops, washes, and vacuums floors.
• Strips and polishes floors.
• Washes waste baskets, refuse containers, walls, ceilings, and windows.
• Cleans high places, sinks, plumbing fixtures, carpeting, fire stairwells, and elevator surfaces.
• Assists with emergency sanitation and moves heavy furniture.
• Sets up conference and meeting rooms, maintains supply closets, and keeps tools and equipment in order.
• Prepares beds for new admits, cleans windows, spills, and sets up for special functions.
• Disinfects resident rooms daily.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of cleaning equipment and compounds, ability to operate all cleaning equipment, follow instructions, and perform essential functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Education:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

One or more years of housekeeping experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Requires physical exertion, flexibility, ability to lift over 30 lbs, good hearing and vision, mobility, and dexterity. Exposed to weather conditions.
