The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all resident apartments, public areas, and work areas within the guidelines, policies, and procedures of the property, as directed by the Executive Director, Maintenance Director, or Housekeeping Supervisor.

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor, Maintenance Director, or Executive Director.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

1. Clean all resident apartments, common areas, and offices, including furnishings, fixtures, and fixtures, ensuring the building is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
2. Follow work/cleaning schedules diligently.
3. Report hazardous conditions or equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
4. Remove trash and waste from all areas and ensure proper disposal.
5. Maintain work areas in a safe, attractive, and hazard-free condition.
6. Use protective equipment and follow safety protocols when handling chemicals or hazardous materials.
7. Follow proper procedures for mixing and using cleaning chemicals, adhering to manufacturer instructions and safety data sheets.
8. Maintain infection control and universal precautions during housekeeping tasks.
9. Clean and disinfect resident beds and furniture during transfers or discharges.
10. Ensure housekeeping carts are clean, stocked, and securely stored.
11. Attend scheduled training sessions and demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including holidays and additional shifts when needed.
12. Support community marketing efforts through positive interactions during tours and phone contacts.
13. Report any resident condition changes immediately to supervisors.
14. Interact tactfully and professionally with residents, families, and visitors.
15. Maintain a safe environment for staff and residents by following safety standards.
16. Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
17. Support a professional image through appropriate dress and conduct.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
