Job summary

Joyous Ventures in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of the facility, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas, including laundry tasks. You will follow safety protocols for chemicals and equipment and communicate with staff and participants to support a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of housekeeping experience, and a current TB/Physical exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of housekeeping experience.
• Recent Physical and TB Report within the past year.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a residential or institutional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean facility including lobbies, corridors, stairways, offices, meeting rooms, staff lounge, eating areas, and kitchen
• Daily cleaning of all facility restrooms, including restocking of paper products and hand soap as needed
• Daily inspection and cleaning of the kitchen, wiping down counters as needed
• Assist in building security, locking all doors and windows, and shutting off interior lights when working the late shift
• Maintain inventory of supplies, informing management when orders need to be placed
• Ensures that properties always meet standards to pass Federal, State and Local inspections
• Coordinates utilities checks, fire drills and other checks/repairs as needed or required to maintain facility compliance with Federal, State and Local inspections
• Other duties as assigned
