Summary:
Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Responsible for maintaining the neat and clean appearance of residents' rooms and common areas.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
- Dust furniture; wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways. Rearrange small furniture if needed. Sweep, scrub, and wax floors as required.
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays. Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
- Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
- Report equipment, structural, or furniture repairs immediately. Complete maintenance or housekeeping orders as necessary.
- Assist with laundry and linens as assigned.
- Perform final cleanings for new residents as needed.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms.
- Perform all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading/unloading, ironing, folding, storing, and delivering.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and area.
- Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise.
- Follow department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques, and participate in safety programs.
- Adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines.
- Perform duties safely and efficiently, wearing PPE/safety equipment as required.
- Report safety hazards and accidents to supervisors.
- Attend all mandatory in-service meetings.
- Comply with all department and facility policies and procedures.
