Summary:

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Responsible for maintaining the neat and clean appearance of residents' rooms and common areas.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
• Dust furniture; wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways. Rearrange small furniture if needed. Sweep, scrub, and wax floors as required.
• Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays. Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
• Report equipment, structural, or furniture repairs immediately. Complete maintenance or housekeeping orders as necessary.
• Assist with laundry and linens as assigned.
• Perform final cleanings for new residents as needed.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Perform all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading/unloading, ironing, folding, storing, and delivering.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and area.
• Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise.
• Follow department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques, and participate in safety programs.
• Adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently, wearing PPE/safety equipment as required.
• Report safety hazards and accidents to supervisors.
• Attend all mandatory in-service meetings.
• Comply with all department and facility policies and procedures.
