Summary

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas, ensuring the neat and clean appearance of residents' rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities

1. Provide quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
2. Dust furniture, wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
3. Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways. Rearrange small furniture as needed. Sweep, scrub, and wax floors.
4. Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, and transport waste to disposal areas.
5. Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
6. Report equipment, structure, or furniture repairs promptly; complete maintenance or housekeeping orders as necessary.
7. Assist with laundry and linens as assigned.
8. Perform final cleanings for new residents as needed.
9. Stock and maintain supply rooms.
10. Handle linen processing including collecting, transporting, sorting, ironing, folding, and storing.
11. Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and area.
12. Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise.
13. Follow safety standards, use PPE, and participate in safety programs.
14. Adhere to all policies, health codes, and guidelines.
15. Perform duties safely and report hazards or accidents.
16. Attend all mandatory training and meetings.
