Job summary

St. Agnes Home in Kirkwood, MO is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Aid for a full-time role (40 hours). You will perform housekeeping and cleaning activities in established guidelines and also handle laundry, delivering clean items to residents and maintaining a safe environment.

Applicants should have housekeeping experience, be able to handle cleaning chemicals safely, and pass background checks and a pre-employment drug screen. A caring, resident-focused approach is essential.

Responsibilities

Housekeeper/Laundry Aid Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas while also performing laundry activities ensuring laundry is cleaned, folded, and delivered to residents. Makes a clean and safe environment for residents. Consistently demonstrates a positive approach to assignments and demonstrates positive interaction with others. Also complies with OSHA Standards and Regulations.

We require:

• Able to safely prepare, use, and store -- under direction -- cleaning solutions
• Good observation skills
• Common sense judgment

You must also:

• Must successfully pass the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the US.
• Must have valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive).
