Ojai-Health- is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for our long-term care facility. You will maintain cleanliness of public areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and storage spaces, while ensuring safety measures and odor control. Good communication and reliability are essential; ability to work alone or with a team is valued.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic math, and English fluency. Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand, walk, and bend is expected.

General PurposeDefine the roles and responsibilities of the Housekeeper within a long-term care facility. The purpose is to maintain a safe, orderly and clean environment free of obstacles and odors.Essential Duties• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including• lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.• Empty trash cans and replace liners.• Sweep and mop floors.• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.• Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.• Excellent time-management skills.• Ability to work independently or with a team.Supervisory RequirementsThis position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.QualificationEducation and/or ExperienceMinimum requirement to perform the essential functions of this position is a High School Diploma or a GED.
