Job summary

The Carriages of Mt. Zion is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry to maintain residential apartments and support our assisted living community. You will clean, launder, and help keep common areas tidy, contributing to a safe and welcoming home for our residents.

Day shifts typically finish by 4:00 pm. We value compassion for the elderly, reliability, and teamwork, with benefits including health insurance, HSA, and PTO as part of our team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to help others and compassion for the elderly.
• Love for cleaning.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test and TB testing mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Clean residential apartments including changing beds, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, windows, bathrooms and kitchenettes.
• Laundry and linens weekly, or as needed.
• Cleaning commons areas including bathrooms, social spaces, wellness area, entryways and exits.
• Assists Maintenance staff with duties such as room turnovers, carpet cleaning, and utilizing the floor scrubber.
• Maintain proper sanitation protocol for healthcare setting.
• Work in assisted living and memory care settings required.
• Workdays are usually completed by 4:00 pm.
• Must be available to work alternate weekends and holidays.

The Carriages of Mt. Zionis growing our TEAM and we are looking for people who have a passion for serving older adults. We seek hard-working, dedicated housekeepers to maintain our beautiful building and resident apartments. We pride ourselves on having a great TEAM to work alongside and with amazing residents, who are appreciative of the detail we show in maintaining a clean and safe assisted living community with a family-like atmosphere. Our environmental services TEAM is led by a dedicated manager who invests time in front-line staff.
