Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, WI is seeking a Housekeeper for onsite work in our hospitality operations. You will clean and service guest rooms and baths, restock supplies, and help maintain the property’s standards while addressing guest requests with courtesy and professionalism.

**Location:** Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and baths under supervision of housekeeping supervisor. Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

The Room Attendant should maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all housekeeping departmental policies/service and the hotel's procedures/standards. Additionally, maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.

Specific Responsibilities :

• Cleaning and Sanitation of guest rooms, In-room cleaning to include but not limited to:




• Dust the room and furniture, ensuring all surfaces have been cleaned.




• Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies according to operational standards.




• Clean and sanitize the bathroom. Ensuring all soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from are removed from all surfaces including but not limited to mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.




• Remove all dirty terry and replace with the clean par to the designated layout.




• Make bed(s) by removing all dirty linen and replacing with clean according to operational standards.




• Realign furniture to the floor plan.




• Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris.




• Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow, laundry bags/slips and luggage rack.




• Inspect condition of bathrobes, linen, terry, pillows and blankets. Replace soiled/damaged ones as needed.




• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.




• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.




• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.




• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.




• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.




• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.




• Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned.




• Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.




• Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score.




• Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.




• Return and restock cart at end of shift.




• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards as assigned by venue.




• Maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information.




• Comply with hotel Lost and Found policy.

Skills/Requirements

• High School Diploma is preferred but not required.




• Prior hotel/lodging experience is preferred but not required (level I).




• Candidate must speak, write, and/or understand English preferred but not required.




• Must be detail oriented.

The hourly range for this position is $15.90 - $23.80 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
