Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a Room Attendant for The American Club in Kohler, WI. This onsite role involves cleaning guest rooms to standards, replenishing supplies, and ensuring guest privacy and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include bed making, bathroom sanitization, linen replacement, and anticipating guest needs. Candidates should be detail-oriented and customer-focused; English language skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, including in-room cleaning.
• Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies according to standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, removing soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from surfaces.
• Removes dirty linens and replaces with clean according to standards.
• Makes beds and replaces linen; realigns furniture to the floor plan.
• Inspects and replaces robes, linen, and towels as needed.
• Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests (e.g. iron/board).
• Maintains security and privacy of guests and rooms.
• Responds promptly to guest requests and resolves complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas; returns cart at shift end.
• Adheres to uniform and grooming standards and company policies.

Opportunity

• Cleaning and Sanitation of guest rooms, In-room cleaning to include but not limited to:

1. Dust the room and furniture, ensuring all surfaces have been cleaned.
2. Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies according to operational standards.
3. Clean and sanitize the bathroom. Ensuring all soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from are removed from all surfaces including but not limited to mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
4. Remove all dirty terry and replace with the clean par to the designated layout.
5. Make bed(s) by removing all dirty linen and replacing with clean according to operational standards.
6. Realign furniture to the floor plan.
7. Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris. Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow, laundry bags/slips and luggage rack.
8. Inspect condition of bathrobes, linen, terry, pillows and blankets. Replace soiled/damaged ones as needed.

• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned.
• Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score.
• Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards as assigned by venue.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information.
• Comply with hotel Lost and Found policy.

Skills/Requirements

• High School Diploma is preferred but not required.
• Prior hotel/lodging experience is preferred but not required (level I).
• Candidate must speak, write, and/or understand English preferred but not required.
• Must be detail oriented.

The hourly range for this position is $14.90 - $22.40. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
