Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a dedicated environmental services worker to perform cleaning duties across the campus and branch locations. You will clean patient rooms, public areas, and laundry units, maintain floors, dispose of trash, and ensure safety standards are met. Responsibilities

• Cleans and services areas within Billings Clinic and campus; may include patient rooms, isolation rooms, patient care areas, public areas, offices, stairwells, elevators, restrooms and laundry.
• Maintains floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing, and refinishing surfaces; shampoos carpets and furniture.
• Removes trash/linen from assigned areas.
• Washes windows, walls, vents, lights, and baseboards with appropriate disinfectants.
• Dusts and polishes hard surfaces; moves furniture/equipment; changes curtains as needed.
• Delivers and replenishes supplies; coordinates daily laundry service needs with departments; sorts and distributes clean laundry and linen garments.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet department needs.

Job description

The individual in this position is responsible for performing specific cleaning duties to maintain a clean environment throughout the Billings Clinic campus and branch locations. Duties include but are not limited to moving, furniture, equipment and supplies, carpet cleaning and a variety of housekeeping duties. Also responsible for laundry duties in specific units within the organization and these duties include but are not limited to coordinating the daily laundry service needs with departments; collection, sorting and weighing of soiled laundry, linen and garments; fold, count, stack and distribution of clean laundry and linen garments.

Essential Job Functions

Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
• Cleans and services areas within Billings Clinic. May be assigned to clean in one or more areas within the Billings Clinic campus to include cleaning occupied and discharged patient rooms, isolation rooms, patient care areas including physician’s offices, surgery, dialysis, radiology, etc., public access areas, waiting rooms, offices, stairwells, elevators, restrooms and laundry.
• Maintains floors to include sweeping, mopping, stripping, finishing, buffing and refinishing hard floor surfaces, shampoos carpets and furniture.
• Removes trash/linen from the assigned area(s).
• Washes windows, walls, vents, lights, and baseboards utilizing appropriate disinfectants.
• Dusts and polishes hard surfaces.
• Moves furniture and equipment within Billings Clinic and to off site storage as necessary. Change curtains and drapes as needed.
• Delivers and replenishes supplies as needed.
• May perform laundry services for specific areas of the organization. Duties include but are not limited to coordinating the daily laundry service needs with departments; collection, sorting and weighing of soiled laundry, linen and garments; fold, count, stack and distribution of clean laundry and linen garments.
• Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance.
