Job summary

Southcoast Health in Wareham, MA is seeking a Housekeeper I to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role involves evening shifts, 32 hours per week, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation, from 3:00pm to 11:30pm at Tobey Hospital.

You’ll join a not-for-profit health system committed to community care, with opportunities for growth and a competitive benefits package; prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift objects over 25 pounds and bend repeatedly.
• Must understand written and verbal communication and instructions.
• Vaccination for influenza and COVID-19 (or approved exemption) required.

Responsibilities

• Meet department standards under supervision.
• Clean and disinfect floors and bathroom fixtures.
• Clean discharge beds.
• Keep equipment and janitors closets clean.

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Evening shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation; 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Location: Tobey Hospital – Wareham, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities or designee, meet set standards while performing functions of the department. Clean and disinfect floors and bathroom fixtures. Clean discharge beds. Keep equipment and janitors closets clean.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in institutional housekeeping preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to understand written and verbal communication and instructions.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift object over 25 pounds and bend repeatedly.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $16.80 - USD $22.60 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

Every other weekend/holiday
