Job summary

Mary Lanning in Hastings, NE is seeking a full-time Housekeeper I to perform standard Environmental Services duties while upholding our hospital values. The shift runs from 3 p.m.

to 11:30 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday working as needed. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, restrooms and treatment areas, handling soiled linen, cleaning equipment, emptying trash, and maintaining public and staff areas.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Maintains a working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment.
• Cleans/disinfects occupied patient rooms (and upon dismissals), patient restrooms, treatment rooms, etc.
• Removes soiled linen from occupied patient rooms.
• Cleans/disinfects patient equipment such as wheelchairs, floor carts, I.V. pumps, etc.
• Empties trash and vacuums carpet using proper equipment.
• Cleans public areas, staff areas, and areas impacted by spills or stains.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
