Job summary

Servicon in Downey, CA is seeking a dedicated janitorial team member to clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas in accordance with our quality and safety standards. You will interact with staff and clients as needed and contribute to infection prevention efforts in healthcare and facilities settings.

The role emphasizes reliability, English fluency, and 1+ year custodial experience; prior healthcare cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles and dispose of waste.
• Vacuum rugs and sweep hard floors; damp-mop spills as needed in offices and public areas.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, fixtures, and surfaces; remove finger marks from doors/windows.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.

What It Takes To Be Successful

• 1+ years of custodial experience a plus
• Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities preferred
• Must be fluent in English language
