Job summary

Servicon seeks a dedicated janitor in Goleta, California to perform cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance across assigned areas while adhering to our quality and safety standards.

You will interact with staff and clients, maintain clean facilities, handle waste removal, dusting, floor care, and respond to spills as needed. This role supports a compassionate culture with growth opportunities at Servicon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years custodial cleaning experience or equivalent preferred.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills; strong problem solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe waste receptacles and remove rubbish to designated areas.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard floors, and clean spills as needed.
• Dust and wipe office furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Remove finger marks from doors, switches, glass and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role

Directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all assigned areas using established practices and procedures according to company and client standards of quality and safety. May require frequent interaction with client.

What You Will Do

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
• Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
• Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
