Job summary

SIH is seeking an Environmental Services Associate in Carbondale, IL for the Evening shift. You will clean and service patient care and public areas and support daily hospital sanitation.

This role involves cleaning equipment, handling linen, and mentoring or backing up the supervisor as needed; you will round on areas, train staff, and prepare daily assignments to maintain a neat, sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Cleans equipment and reports repairs.
• Collects and distributes soiled or clean linen.
• Lead: Serves as back up for Environmental Services Manager or Supervisor.
• Lead: Round on assigned areas.
• Lead: Instruct and train employees.
• Lead: Prepare daily assignments.
• Lead: Performs environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
