Southern Illinois Healthcare invites applications for a Phlebotomy Technician supporting ambulatory clinics across multiple locations. This part-time, dayshift role (Mon-Fri) focuses on phlebotomy tasks, patient interaction, and accurate EMR documentation.

Qualified candidates bring a High School diploma, CPR/BLS certification, and at least 1 year of clinical office or customer service experience. Training on site will be provided and employee safety is prioritized.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification; AHA BLS preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• 1 year of clinical office experience preferred; strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate quality communication with the care team, patients, and families.
• Room patients and document clinical information in EMR per policy.
• Ensure accurate documentation in EMR and patient care per scope.
• Monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.

Position Summary

Responsible for working collaboratively with physicians and other caregivers to deliver appropriate treatment and medical interventions in an ambulatory office setting.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Licenses and Certification

• Current BLS certification; BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
• Certified Nurses Aid certification preferred

Experience and Skills

• Technical Experience: 1 year of clinical office experience preferred. Ability to perform manual blood pressure required.
• Customer Service: 1 year of customer service experience preferred

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Demonstrate quality communication skills between the care team, outside agencies, patients, and their families through written, verbal, observation, and empathy skills.
• Rooms the patient and documents required and updated clinical information in the electronic medical record following policy and procedures for process.
• Demonstrates completed competency for accurate and appropriate documentation in the EMR and patient care following scope of clinical role outlined in policy.
• Follows office procedures to monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.

Compensation

Compensation (Commensurate with experience): $18.28 To $27.42
