We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time HOUSEKEEPER positions at Detroit Receiving Hospital, located at 4201 Saint Antoine Street, Detroit, MI 48201. Online applications are accepted only.

Requirements: Prior hospital experience and two years of housekeeping experience are preferred.

Pay Range: $18.10 to $19.60 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants, and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty and clean trash containers; dispose of trash sanitary manner.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make beds and change linens as required.
• Realign furniture and amenities according to layout.
• Respond to guest queries and requests.
• Address housekeeping issues such as spills and broken glasses.
• Contribute to team efforts; exhibit professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
