Job summary

Dayton Children's - Main Campus is seeking a Housekeeper II for the Environmental Services team on the 2nd shift. This high‑customer‑service role works in patient areas, using AIDET techniques and upholding hospital values.

You will perform beds, trash, equipment cleaning, floor care, linen laundering, and daily inventory of equipment, with a 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM schedule and rotating weekends/holidays. GED/HS diploma preferred; 0–3 years experience required.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years experience required.
• GED/High School diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient areas and rooms while in the presence of patients and families.
• Make beds, empty trash, wipe equipment, and clean furniture.
• Polish floors, vacuum carpets, and clean restrooms.
• Launder hospital linen and manage daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned within Environmental Services.

Job Details:

The Housekeeper II provides cleaning services while in the presence of patients and their families. This is a high customer service position. The Housekeeper II is trained in AIDET techniques and demonstrates an understanding of the hospital values of innovation, collaboration, ownership, compassion, value creation and safety as job duties are performed. Job duties may include making beds, emptying trash, wiping equipment, cleaning furniture, polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, laundering hospital linen, daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment and other assorted duties.

Shift:

3:00PM - 11:30PM, rotating weekends and holidays.

Education:

GED/High School diploma preferred

Experience:

0-3 years experience required.
