Job summary

Artis Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team in a full-time role with a Sunday-Thursday 11:00am–7:30pm shift. This position involves cleaning resident apartments and communal areas, doing laundry, and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of housekeeping experience, with a compassionate approach to working with the elderly. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing common areas.
• Wash and fold laundry. Distribute clean linens and towels. Maintain a stocked cleaning cart with necessary supplies.
• Communicate inventory and supply needs to the Director of Environmental Services in a timely manner.
• Dispose of trash, chemicals, and other materials in a safe manner.
• Understand proper use of community equipment.
• Demonstrate respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Always demonstrate honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident and community property.
• Effectively communicate with the staff members and residents through verbal and/or written means.
• Perform other duties as needed that may be set by the Director of Environmental Services.

The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping all areas of the community clean, sanitized, and safe for residents, guests, and team members, at all times. Excellent customer service and a willingness to work with the elderly population are essential for this role.

How You'll Succeed

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year previous housekeeping experience preferred.
