Job summary

Artis Senior Living in Florida is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to keep resident areas clean, sanitized, and safe for seniors. The role requires excellent customer service and compassion for the elderly; weekend rotation and Sunday-Thursday shifts.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with benefits that include medical, dental and vision plans, paid holidays, 3 weeks PTO, a 401(k) with employer match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning/sanitizing common areas.
• Wash and fold laundry. Distribute clean linens and towels. Maintain a stocked cleaning cart with necessary supplies.
• Communicate inventory and supply needs to the Director of Environmental Services in a timely manner.
• Dispose of trash, chemicals, and other materials in a safe manner.
• Understand proper use of community equipment.
• Demonstrate respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Always demonstrate honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident and community property.
• Effectively communicate with the staff members and residents through verbal and/or written means.
• Perform other duties as needed that may be set by the Director of Environmental Services.

*We're seeking a full-time team member available to work Sunday-Thursday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Every other weekend is required!

The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping all areas of the community clean, sanitized, and safe for residents, guests, and team members, at all times. Excellent customer service and a willingness to work with the elderly population are essential for this role.
