Job summary

Freedom Village in California is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across resident apartments and common areas within a Continuing Care Retirement Community.

In this full-time role, you will secure and operate cleaning equipment safely, support laundry activities as needed, and ensure living spaces remain pristine for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Clean resident apartments and common areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and according to policy.
• Assist with laundry as needed.

Responsibilities

• As a Housekeeper, you will be assigned to clean an area of the community including resident apartments.
• Performs housekeeping cleaning duties in resident apartments and common areas.
• Secure appropriate equipment and supplies to carry out assignments and to use safely according to training, policy and procedure.
• Clean floors, dry mop, wet mop, vacuum, sweep, disinfect where and when assigned; perform emergency housekeeping duties when accidents occur.
• Clean moveable and stationary furnishings and fixtures; dust, spot clean or wash, disinfect, polish including ledges, vents, shelves, corner, door tops, moldings, etc.
• Empty, clean and relin e wastebaskets, straighten or realign furniture as instructed, inspects furnishings.
• Maintains updated inventory of laundry supplies
• Notify supervisor of any concerns with equipment and supplies
• Maybe assigned to assist as Laundry Aide as needed
