Job summary

Boundary Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean, disinfect and maintain sanitary conditions in assigned areas. The role ensures infection control standards are met and areas remain presentable for patients and visitors.

Shifts are scheduled full-time, 6am-2:30pm with a pattern of Sun, Wed-Sat; the position requires attention to detail and ongoing communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; minimum one year related work experience.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and communicate clearly in writing, orally, or by schedule.
• Ability to address patients, visitors, and co-workers with courtesy and respect.

Responsibilities

• Performs adequate and thorough disinfecting and sanitizing procedures of all horizontal surfaces.
• Removes/prevents buildup on the floors and around the perimeters.
• Removes biohazard and general garbage from rooms/areas according to policy.
• Performs adequate bathroom cleaning and sanitation requirements.
• Performs unit discharge cleaning appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Removes visible debris from carpeted areas when necessary.
• Maintains communication with supervisor for area and/or departmental needs or concerns.
• Uses personal protective equipment as necessary.
• Follows established room-cleaning guidelines for all areas.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, and the general appearance of their scheduled area. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining all regulated housekeeping and Infection Control Standards.

Schedule:

• Full-time - 80 hrs per pay period;
• 6am-2:30pm Sun, Wed-Sat

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:
