Vierra Falls Church Rehab & Nursing is seeking a Housekeeper - Floor Tech and Housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. The role emphasizes attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work with a team within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping/laundry/janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
• Familiarity with safety procedures for cleaning chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina for bending, lifting and standing long periods.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic digital literacy including timekeeping/HR apps on smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks: laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, empty trash.
• Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, hallways and lounges.
• Disinfect surfaces, fixtures and appliances per standards.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Collaborate with team for larger cleaning projects (deep cleaning carpets/windows).
• Respond to and resolve housekeeping issues promptly and courteously.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Summary:

Ensures the provision of a clean environment for our residents and staff, providing high-quality services and high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position; lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects. Stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, and stretch. Meet the physical requirements outlined in the Job Description.
