Job summary

Vierra Falls Church is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dynamic team in Falls Church, VA. The role runs full-time with a 6:30am–2:30pm schedule; a higher emphasis on providing residents and patients with compassionate care and consistent meals.

The position offers competitive pay from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour, plus strong benefits and a supportive work environment designed to help you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good work ethics.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Serves meals that are appetizing and palatable in appearance.
• Serves meals as necessary on a timely basis.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties including work tables, meat blocks, and refrigerators/freezers.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Washes and cleans utensils, dishes and cooking items according to policies and procedures.

FT, Non-exempt, Essential Personnel: Schedule is 6:00am - 2:30pm every other weekend.

Major Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Servesmealsinaccordancewithestablishedportioncontrolprocedures.
• Servesmealsthatareappetizingandpalatableinappearance.
• Servesmealsasnecessaryandonatimelybasis.
• Assistsindailycleaningdutiesasassignedtoincludeworktables,meatblocks,and refrigerators/freezers in accordance to established policies and procedures.
• Sweepandmopsfloorsasdirected.
• Washesandcleansutensils,dishesandcookingitemsaccordingtoestablishedpolicies and procedures.
• Carriesoutgarbageandkeepstheworkareaclean,dryandfreeofhazards.
• Setsupmealtrays,foodcarts,diningroom,etc.,asinstructed.
• Collectsanddistributesmenusasinstructed.
• Assistsincheckingdietarytraysbeforedistributionanddeliveringfoodcartsto designated areas.
• Removesfoodcarts,foodtraysfromdiningroomstodishwashingareaforcleaning.
