Job summary

Silver Birch Living in Kokomo, IN is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services Team. You’ll keep common areas, resident rooms, and facilities clean, safe, and welcoming, contributing to residents’ comfort and well-being each day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is helpful.
• Housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Dependable and detail-oriented with pride in work.
• Team member who is friendly, respectful, and able to work independently or with others.
• Willingness to work some weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain community areas such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, and resident rooms.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks each shift.
• Respect resident privacy, always knocking before entering rooms.
• Use cleaning supplies safely and follow proper procedures for chemicals.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish to keep spaces neat and sanitary.
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures.
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
• Collect and deliver resident laundry in a timely manner.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies at the end of your shift.
