Silver Birch Living in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services Team. You’ll help keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming for residents who call it home. Your work supports residents feeling comfortable, cared for, and at ease every day.

The role emphasizes dependable, detail-oriented teamwork. Duties include cleaning common areas and resident rooms, following schedules, respecting privacy, and maintaining supplies. Weekend or holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain community areas such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, and resident rooms.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks each shift.
• Respect resident privacy, always knocking before entering rooms.
• Use cleaning supplies safely and follow proper procedures for chemicals.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish to keep spaces neat and sanitary.
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures.
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
• Collect and deliver resident laundry in a timely manner.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies at the end of your shift.
