Job summary

Allegria Senior Living in Dearborn, MI is seeking a dependable housekeeper to support residents by keeping apartments, public areas and support spaces clean and orderly. You will perform laundry, maintain supplies, and help ensure a cheerful, safe environment for memory care residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping in Community Member apartments, public areas and support areas as assigned.

• Protect residents' confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
• Document all added services.
• Protect residents from accidents and injuries.
• Follow facility policy and procedures for cleaning.

Job description

The housekeeper is an essential member of the team. The responsibilities are washing laundry, and cleaning residents’ rooms. We are looking for staff to enhance the lives of our residents by being a positive part of their environment. This will be accomplished by completing your tasks in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating with others to attain goals.

Experience working in a memory care unit is recommended.

Duties

• Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties in Community Member apartments, public areas and support areas as assigned. This could include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen area and appliances, changing/washing/drying sheets, as well as additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain equipment and supplies needed to perform work.
• Complete personal laundry and linens for Community Members as an added service, on occasion when needed.
• Protects resident’s confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect
• Document all added services.
• Protect residents from accidents and injuries
• Must follow facility policy and procedures for cleaning in an appropriate manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
