Gunnison Valley Health is hiring an Environmental Services Technician, Housekeeping at the Senior Care Center in Gunnison, CO. The role focuses on cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance to keep patient and common areas safe and aesthetically pleasing.

On-site, part-time with some evenings and weekends, about 24 hours weekly. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; CHEST certification preferred and healthcare or hospitality experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Follow infection prevention practices and PPE donning/doffing procedures.

Requirements

To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Healthcare support services and/or environmental services, hospitality or a related field preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) preferred

Responsibilities

We are committed to improving the health of our community by delivering exceptional care and services. As part of the team in the EVS department you will

• Take responsibility for disinfection of patient care areas, and common areas on assignment
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles using proper chemical use and equipment handling.
• Follow all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Day shift, must have flexibility for some weekends and evenings (approximately 24 hours per week)

Physical Requirements

Occasionally (1-33%) - Sitting, stairs
Frequently (34-66%) - Standing, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, fingering, crouching/squatting, stooping, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (20-50 lbs)
Continuously (37-100%) - must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance

Compensation

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00/hr, depending on experience.
