Job summary

San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, CO is seeking an EVS Tech to keep patient rooms and common areas clean and safe in a busy healthcare setting. You’ll perform discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, and routine floor care while following safety protocols and using the correct chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior cleaning experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment used in health care.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and safety precautions in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Clean all patient rooms and common areas.
• Discharge cleaning – thoroughly clean patient’s rooms after the patient has left the hospital.
• Cycle Cleaning – weekly or monthly detailed cleaning of all surfaces.
• Carpet & Upholstery Care – vacuum all carpeted floors regularly, treat spots and stains on carpet or upholstery as needed.
• Hard Surface Floors – daily or more frequently dust, damp and spot mop.
• Participate in on-call and weekend rotation.

Salary Range: $15.16 To $21.17 Hourly
